Upcoming Cave Interview Book!

If this new (yet unauthorized) Cave book is anything like the Tom Waits book, Innocent When You Dream, it will be awesome. It sounds like the same thing, which is a book comprised mostly of interviews WITH NICK from throughout the years.

EDIT: Mat Snow is the guy who apparently "Scum" is based on.Because of that, think about if you want him to have your money or not. It's between Cave and Snow, but yeah...

Gonna be honest...the title scares me. Sounds like tabloid fodder. We shall see.

I preordered it; it comes out January 11th and you can preorder it from Amazon HERE. I will let you all know the verdict when I get it, but it sounds good, if it's all past interviews and what-not.

That was beyond amazing

Man, that...was...AMAZING. I will share Grinderbunny's (and your thank you's) adventures soon. It's taking me forever to type everything up, edit pics, get videos uploaded, etc.

Seriously. You'll love it....

Letter on Behalf of All of You

To be thrown up to Nick tomorrow. I hope you all are okay with what I chose to say on your behalf. I wrote this on...well...you can read...

Dear Nick,
This is on behalf of all the fans who could not send me their thanks in time or, as some admitted to me, were just too nervous to include their own notes in this project.

I have, through your music, met many of your fans and know them to be some of the most creative, unique, thoughtful people I have ever known. I get emails from them through my blog, and the words they have to say about you, the art you create, and how important you are to them is beyond beautiful. I thank you on their behalf for touching their lives, for being there for them through some insanely dark times (and the good times too), and for making their lives more beautiful and complete with every word you so selflessly give to the world.

Thank you so much, and do know that your fans truly love, respect, and appreciate you.

Love,
Your Fans

Thanks This Saturday (yes, SATURDAY)

If you would all like to thank Nick for something, send in your thanks of 250 words or less to the addy in the bar to your right. The show is THIS SATURDAY, November 27th. I am going to throw our thanks up on stage along with...something else that is amusing. You'll see, and I'll try to record the throw.

Also, IF I meet him, I will try to ask him if he got the Eulogy for a Stache book...but it may slip my mind. I don't know if I will be able to meet him or not, but yes.

If I don't get any thanks, I will thank him for all of us with words of my own choosing.

Cave's Dark Secrets (NYPOST.com)

(Above photo by ? and not from following article.)

THIS INTERVIEW is short but amazing. It contains these and more:

Interviewer: Two words: “Johnny Suede.”

Nick: There you go — what a great role. It’s been downhill ever since. I launched Brad Pitt’s career. He owes me a lot, that boy.

Interviewer: Like your bands, that’s another all-male gang.

Nick: Yeah, it’s terrible for my poor long-suffering wife. All that testosterone and bad smells she has to put up with.

Read more: RIGHT HERE

Everyone be hoping/wishing/praying for me to meet Mr. Cave this Saturday! I would love to thank him in person for everything.

Your chance to own the cutest thing ever.

NOTE: Not my auction (cuz I'd never sell that picture).

Because SO MANY people have asked me about this picture, which I have framed and hanging on my wall...

Well, someone else has it up to buy! It's the BEST Nick Cave picture ever, as far as disgustingly, adorably cute goes!

THE PUPPY PICTURE!

No, seriously. It's so worth ten dollars. I mean...COME ON.

Grinderman Photo Contest

First of all, THIS INTERVIEW amused me, particularly the last bit.

Anyway, re: this news bit...photos should most certainly be allowed.

Mickey Mouse

The lovely Caroline found this and sent it my way, so much thanks to her. There are more photos on the site in this little slideshow type thing. I missed that the first time.

Grinderman...proving once more that they are cooler than you.

Came from the link below, which includes a pretty awesome interview with the band.

Worm Tamer Single

November 22nd, the second single off Grinderman 2, "Worm Tamer," will be released on green vinyl and other formats. The vinyl will come packaged with a poster, and judging by the ones that came with Grinderman 2 and "Heathen Child," it will probably be awesome.

Tracklisting:
1. Worm Tamer
2. Worm Tamer (A Place To Bury Strangers Remix)
3. Worm Tamer (Grinderman / UNKLE)

Creepiest Voices in Rock

Through the AMAZING Tom Waits blog, The Eyeball Kid, comes a link that amused me a bit. Both Waits AND Mr. Cave are on the list of the 13 Creepiest Voices in Rock. I find the list mostly "made of fail", as much as I hate that phrase. Really? I don't find their voices creepy so much as BADASS. And the songs they chose as Cave and Waits' "gravest"...come on. Is "The Mercy Seat" the gravest? Surely "Stagger Lee" is creepier? And "Earth Died Screaming" for Waits? Hmm..."Starving in the Belly of a Whale" creeps me out way more.

I will agree with Bjork being on there, for sure. That lady scares the HELL out of me. You know whose voice REALLY scares me, though? Tiny Tim. All the way.
Someone tell me this is a misprint. WHY IS THIS $500?!
P.S. So, am I correct in assuming the updated, gladiator/Grinderman book should be a no? That's cool. I was panic attacking thinking about it anyway, haha. XD

P.P.S.
I just got a new tattoo. It's not Cave-related, but still, it should be easy to figure out. Guess which one is mine?
