Wow, Blogger is...hideous now. Anyway, I'm on Tumblr now, if you missed the move: HERE. Nick, Blixa, Tom Waits, Joe Strummer, etc. :D

New Blogs of The Me

Okay. So. Apparently, I decided to move to a new blog in the nick of time because suddenly, blogger's interface looks like complete and utter SHITBALLS. I haven't updated yet, but I will now be blogging sporadically about Nick, Tom Waits, Blixa, Joe Strummer, and others at: http://xraystyles.wordpress.com Trust me, WordPress is way better, and adding some other artists into the mix will ensure that I post at least more than twice a year. I also am at http://xraystyles.tumblr.com, which will probably mostly be photos. I will probably update the Tumblr more. In fact, I'm scanning another rare Blixa pic for there now.

Nipples and Such

I am in the process of trying to find a layout I enjoy for my new blog. It will focus on Nick, Tom Waits, The Clash, and just about every other artist I enjoy. It'll just be awesome because a.) Blogger is ugly as hell, and so I want to move to WordPress, and b.) I really want the ability to share Nick stuff, as well as EVERYTHING ELSE I love. :)

In the meantime, enjoy this image of Nick and Anita, which Laura capped from the Rowland S. Howard biopic, Autoluminescent.

I own this entire zine. Stick around, and I'll eventually post all the scans (including Neubauten):

Still planning on making another blog, but as a college student, not sure when. I feel bad for not updating, but in-between albums is kind of a blah time for news.

I really hope most of you already visit Cracked.com, as it's wittily written and amusing. Today, they posted an article about the top 6 movie sequels that never got made...

...and GUESS WHAT'S NUMBER ONE?!

I am amused.

New blog...thoughts?

I've gotten so many spam comments lately, grr.

Anyway, I've been thinking for awhile of moving this blog to WordPress. I just think blogs their are cleaner-looking and less messy. If I do decide to move, would you follow me over and still read my blog?

I'm also contemplating (for when things with NC are quiet and such) incorporating a few other artists into my blog. Namely, Neubauten and Tom Waits, but random artists I find that are somwhat Cave-like. Obviously you could just skip entries that weren't Cave-related if you wanted.

I think a fresh blog would be more likely to make me excited and post Cave goodies more often. Being a college student with sleep issues doesn't help me update, but a move to a new blog and being able to post other stuff I enjoy would make things more fun for me.

Anyway, let me know your thoughts and I will take them into consideration! :) This is absolutely NOT saying I am stopping a Cave blog, but wanting maybe to move and expand to have a few other artists to add content.

Read Write [Hand]

Our fellow Cave fan and all-around badass, Morgan, has contributed an essay to the following Nick Cave-related book.

From the e-book's site:
"Read Write [Hand] : A multi- disciplinary Nick Cave reader is a
provocative new e-collection of illustrated essays, accompanied
by illustrative online mixtapes, which interrogates Nick Cave’s
literary undertones and emphases, false-starts and fixations,
achievements and overall credentials..."

Seriously, it'll broaden your mind and make you perhaps view Cave in an even more literary manner. Reading it will make you (at least feel) smarter, more insightful, more witty, and more appreciative of The Cave. It's only £1. 99, so win-win, I say!
