Glastonbury 2009

First of all, I have a question. I know I am not hallucinating here. I'm an obsessive quote-keeper and KNOW I saw somewhere (prob'ly an older interview) a quote from Nick regarding men and women. He wasn't saying he liked men, but he said something to the effect of, if he ended up having feelings for someone, it shouldn't matter either way. I feel like I'm nuts because I can't find this quote and know I saw it somewhere. I doubt any of you know what I'm talking about, but figured I'd ask.

Glastonbury 2009
These are huge and I don't know how to resize them to make them not ruin my blog. Changing the width makes them short and squished. Oh, well.

Allow Me to Adjust Your Tie, Sir

You've prob'ly seen these, but oh well. I felt like posting some beauty.

First of all, I've had a new Pic of the Moment for a little while and forgot to mention it to you all.

Moving along...duh, click for full-size. :D

No tie, but who cares?

Oh, and remember the clippings I posted HERE and HERE? This is from that same set of clippings. It's like the first pic linked to above, but he's not looking at you in this one. I still need to scan all the other stuff. Let this keep you company until then.

Cave Nose is lovely.

Nick Cave Plate at Goodwill

I love the LiveJournal community, thrifthorror. I just posted an entry there [THIS ONE], and it included this plate:

Mr. Cave shows up in the strangest places. I may have to go back and buy this thing.

Do You Love Me? Wallpaper

(God, I love this blog. Best idea I ever had. Why NOT share my obsession with people who get it?!)

I'm still chuckling over the emo Birthday Party bunny. It is TOTALLY Mr. Cave in rabbit form. I smell a Bunny Munro conspiracy! Haha.

Anyway, at this insane hour of 5:38 a.m. (I am a night owl bat to the extreme), I couldn't decide which still from "Do You Love Me?" I wanted as a wallpaper. Therefore, I made this and decided to share. Mind you, I can't make very good wallpapers, but it looks quaint on my computer. (faux-innocent "NC? Attractive? I never noticed." face) Feel free to share across the 'Net. If you all like, I will make and share more later on.

No Pussy Blues About a Cat // Jonas Brothers Who?

This little article (link below) about the Do You Love Me Like I Love You documentaries on the remastered collector's editions of the Bad Seeds stuff.

Includes these gems:

'What's immediately obvious is that Cave's stage persona is a bit misleading. Up close he's likeable, with a deadpan sense of humour and self-effacing charm which somehow coexist happily with his unmistakeable aura of rock. He's lost the 'tache too.

We learn Cave feels "physically sick" when he listens to his own music and that he reckons "the bar is pretty low" when it comes to writing lyrics. He gets a big laugh when he explains that his kids think No Pussy Blues is a song about a cat, and an even bigger one when he dismisses the Jonas Brothers in a single word: "Who?"'

Emo Birthday Party Bunny

I saw this bunny on Cute Overload [LINK] and I thought, "that is TOTALLY Birthday Party Nick Cave!" I mean, COME ON - it even has blue eyes!

Can you tell the bunny and Mr. Cave apart? I sure as shit can't! These two photos, I tell ya - they're even posing the same!

Come on...you KNOW you're all saving this bunny in your N.C. folders. I know I did.

June 13th Live Photos

I told you guys [HERE] the 'stache was gone!

When he first grew the Magical 'Stache of Doom, I thought - WHAT is THAT?! Then it grew on me (well, actually, it grew on HIM, but...). Now...his lack of Magical 'Stache confuses me.

You can view about 20 photos from June 13th HERE, complete with cold upper lip.

Egads! More from June HERE. Score!

Bunny Munro Trailer

I'd been holding off listening to and watching Nick's "trailer" for Bunny Munro. However, several people on the nick-cave.com forums told me it wouldn't ruin the anticipation for me. They were right - his reading is AMAZING, and I cannot WAIT for the book's release. Nick's voice, hand gestures, and facial expressions bring so much to what he's reading. I think it would be fan-fucking-tastic if he released an audio version of the book, even if it was only a select few readings (a la And the Ass...).

Most of you have seen this, I'm assuming. However, I wanted to make sure I had it here, just in case play.com (where the video is from) ever gets rid of it.

Bunny Munro trailer/reading (1:17 cracks me up):

Exhibition Photos

There are a bunch of awesome photos from Nick's exhibition at the Western Australia Museum. Included in the collection is THIS beetle collection that says, "Nick the Stripper".

Check out much of the exhibit HERE.

And one thing in the exhibit is THIS LETTER about Susie. You will puke from sweetness.

50 Posts : 6 Big Pics to Celebrate

50th Post! (not that it's that many)

To celebrate, I have included five SIX (I like the number six better) of my favorite LARGE pics of Nick. I am always disgruntled that there aren't many (any?!) wallpapers of him. So, to ease my woes as well as yours, here are five pics that are a.) lovely and b.) big. Click to view 'em ginormously.

Nick Cave means serious business - just check out his shirt. You don't mess with a bloke wearing a keyboard on his chest.

I love the whole "Euchrid's Room" series, but this one, which I believe I scanned from the Nick Cave - Stories book, is my favorite.

I called this one "Oh Christ". Apologies for the fangirl title. (From Fish in a Barrel):

This is one of those pictures that I don't remember finding, so it could be yours. It says the magazine it's from at the bottom, but I can't quite make it out. Anyway, I love this photo because it's just so personal-feeling to me. Definitely one of my favorites of all-time.

When I found this one, I freaked out like Miley Cyrus getting a proposal from a Jonas brother:

Finally, the photo I always try to stop using as my wallpaper but can never really get away from. I have another version just as big, only he's not looking at the camera. Anyway, I have tried so many times to stop using this as a wallpaper. Whenever I change it to something else, a week later, I miss it. So here it is for all of you (usually I see it way smaller than this). Again, click for ginormity.

If you have any huge, big ass pics of Nick, share away!
